Never heard of Sprint prorating bill.
Are we even sure that the Sprint rep is not making this up. .......
That's exactly what quite a few reps do unfortunately and I agree appears to be the case here.

See my reply above. I was under the same impression, so it was certainly a surprise when both chat reps and retentions phone call confirmed the same. I also asked that since my end date is technically june 30, can i cancel on june30, and that's when the prorating concept came up. I believe both phone and chat reps mentioned the proration too. I may have been just unlucky getting assigned to misinformed reps who both said the same thing ... But i ported out to be on the safe side. if they truly are prorating now, i cannot think of a reason why they changed it other than the merger
Interesting development even though not in favor of the customer.
Do you have your June 20 bill yet?

Isn't sea-clip's bill summary showing to the contrary.
Your AutoPay payment will process on July 7.
Thanks for your recent payment $4.37
Billing period May 14 - June 13, 2020
Account number XXXXXxxxx
Total due by July 7 $4.37

Btw is there any promo you availed for xfinity? I heard it is limited to only xfinity internet customers right?

Going by Sea-clip's experience (whose free plan extension ended 5/31/20) your case should be no different (ending on 6/30/20) probably too many people calling and asking this question so the rep is playing it safe.
It doesn't make any sense if the bill got generated before the promo date has passed. I guess in the coming week if anyone who is still on sprint and having bill date between 6/20 - 6/30 can share what they see on their bills it would really help.

Hunter porting out by 6/30 is safest I agree but if one is ready to take a risk one can go until July Bill date -1 to do the port out right ?
Correct, but is the extra week or so worth it?
It depends on one's risk tolerance and if one can afford to lose $.

Just ill-informed reps twice in my opinion.
You will be fine.

Bill date is 28th!
See my 2nd sentence:
It depends on one's risk tolerance and if one can afford to lose $.
But it may be worth trying!
To be on the safe side it'll be less than 28 days, probably 22-25 or so.

Certainly, some people here with 5/31 exp date and 5/28 or so bill date must have tried what you suggest, so if anyone in that situation who's tried this is still around, please chime in.

Is bill date the day bill gets generated? If so, in my case, I have billing cycle of '2nd to 1st', bill generated on 5th, free plan ending on 6/30. So is it safe to port out between 7/1 and 7/4?

Thank you to Sprint and everyone here who's been so helpful!

You should get an email like this dated 7/6, about 5 days after the cycle end:

__________________________________________
Your AutoPay payment will process on July 25.
Thanks for your recent payment $5.00
Billing period June 1 - July 2, 2020
Account number XXXXX9999
Total due by July 25 $5.00
__________________________________________

So, since your billing cycle ends 2 days past the free plan expiration date of 6/30, the safest action is to port out before 6/30, safest around 6/25 or so, depending on the provider you're porting to. Say, if it's T-Mo or AT&T, the port will happen in 15 minutes or so.
If it's another lesser provider company that may not be able to handle the port out fast, better to port out 5-7 days before 6/30.
Also, if the new provider must ship the sims to you better do it asap.

Porting out ALL 5 lines to Verizon is cheaper and can be a money maker if you cancel after 6.5 months.
There is nothing to lose by porting all 5 lines to Verizon, even though you don't need the line.

After you do the 4 lines you can do the 5th by itself and then Verizon CS will put it in the same account with the other 4 so they all have the same $30/mo rate.

Yeah i considered that but the other person is overseas so i dont know if he can get a vzw sim card to activate...

I guess I could just pick up a used phone to byod it... How hard is it to add in the 5th line after already ordering with 4 lines?? Cant I just do it within the same account?

I am planning to move to Verizon with the $300 e gift cards. Anyone knows what select unlimited means? Is that includes basic unlimited? Just kids?

Also when I open private mode don't see anymore on AT&T the two visa limit. Is it possible that AT&T cage the t&c and now you can get 5 $250 visa. If correct I would prefer to switch to AT&T to get real gift cards and no 6 month restriction.
