No, IMO sensor quality is more important that resolution or framerate.

I agree with res0five. I currently run a mobius actioncam set up as a dash cam and alternate between 2 settings (1280p @ 30fps OR 720p @ 60fps). I prefer the 720p/60fps setting not because of the higher frame rate, but because it has a much more zoom effect and captures license plates and other details much better than 1280p. Most ppl would think that 1280p would give better detail, but with a dash cam's wide angle lens, the higher resolution makes the other vehicles appear much smaller & farther away than they actually are, and makes reading license plates much harder or impossible, in many cases.

Add/edit: This Anker looks pretty sweet. Anker makes quality products. Good chance I'll bite on this and get one. Thanks nukevol (OP). TU & Repped.

This is a great deal. I have this cam and the image quality is stellar. I had the same concerns about it not lasting in the sun, so I purchased the protection plan. Plus amazon service is great. Got a price adjustment of $30.

The wifi allows you to connect the cam to your phone through the app. This allows you to view and download clips to your phone. Also, you can adjust your cam settings from your phone too.

Edit: Forgot to mention, if your car has the power outlet only in your center console, the provided micro USB cable might be a bit short. This was the problem in my case and Anker quickly solved it my providing me a small refund so I could buy a USB extension.

One review I read mentions that it doesn't do well in the heat. That takes it off of my list. I figured anything battery based wouldn't hold up well sitting in a dash constantly in the sun.
