Well Sennheiser is advertising the massdrop deals on their own FB page so I imagine. I hated the HD 700's.

How are these compared to the 580's? Are they typical dark, veiled Sennheiser? I'm looking for something closer to an 880.

Seriously! Never any deals on the HD-800s and all the deals and the mixed reviews on the HD-700s make me think they are crap and want to stick with my HD-650s.

Not sure what you're getting at, it states on the product page: Included: 2 year manufacturer's warranty

Not sure what led you to chat with tech support. If you have a problem with the headphones, they are covered. You're paranoid/over thinking things if you don't believe massdrop.
