Probably because people think smaller big box stores should have unlimited supplies. It would be like me saying micro center sucks because they aren't near me and don't do online for any deals. They don't suck it just sucks I don't live near one, can't cater to everyone.

Well my semi local Fry's tells it sales reps to lie when price matching. I went to Fry's to pick up some parts that were cheaper than micro center, I asked to price match with MC for some ram. They blatantly lied to my face saying that their ram was special and couldn't price match it! Never again. The only good outcome was I talked for a good half hour with a customer about some other hobby's I'm into.

Fry's deals are the absolute worst success rate of actually purchasing. Borderline bait and switch for all of their best deals. I refuse to buy from them anymore, or go to their store.

LOL, taking bets on whether the titled deal ever reaches the "available for shipping" stage. I ultimately unsubscribed from Fry's emails out of frustration. 99.99% wild goose chase unless you live near one of the handful of B&M locations.

sweet. picked up a combo @ city of industry location. they had four mobo left as of 9:20am. make sure to apply sunday promo code and they will subsidize sales tax on cpu. paid $185 minus $15 rebate and free case. can finally retire the wife's T420 dual core Thinkpad and upgrade her to ryzen. she opens so many browser tabs with excel and streams that the dual core starts to crawl. ryzen four core should help minimize the complaints. happy day!

There is a big resell market for the T420/T420s for linux, I bought one yesterday on eBay. Def sell it if you won't be using.
