I agree with joshwaloveslotr. I used to have a dual 27 setup and have switched to a curved 34 ultrawide. It is more efficient. You can do your own research, but it is the "screen real estate" that matters.
i just don't know if this would be a good replacement for my current 3-monitor setup (2x 24" portrait mode side monitors + 1x 27" landscape center monitor) ? i would hate to spend over $1K just to realize it didn't work out...
I have the the previous model (34" ultrasharp) and even so the quality of the monitor is quite good, I dislike the ultrawide dimensions. Vertically there is too little space and horizontally there is too much space. I previously had dell's 30" ultrasharp, and that one had much better dimensions. If you are willing to spend this much money on a monitor, Dell's 32" 4K ultrasharp monitor would be much better in terms of usable space in my opinion. Dell's 43" has dimentions that I would probably want in a monitor, but it is not ultrasharp and from what I've read not the same quality.

I have the 34" and it's the best purchase I've ever made.
That's what my mother said.

Also, don't get this Dell monitor for gaming. It only does 60hz. Not worth it. No matter how much bigger it is.
Opinions on a 34" vs 38" ultrawide?
