Man, you slickdealers are pissed off today. I remember when this site was awesome. It all started changing when slickdeals started collaborating with Dell and hp to offer us crappy deals and SD reports all price errors to others. Stop arguing folks. We're a team.
Because it is not gaming laptop and a thin and light laptop designed for day to day work, long battery life and multimedia consumption and some productivity tasks like Photoshop, Video encoding etc...thanks to the quad core CPU. If you want a laptop with Graphics card for playing games, why are you looking at this deal? Next time you will say Dell XPS 13 is a super bad laptop because it is costly and cannot play games....
Just missing an SSD

have ordered a set too Smilie

so does that mean if we want to replace the 1TB hdd, any 2.5" SSD will do?
Whereas if we want to retain the 1TB HDD, and have both a SSD and HDD, we will need to get the "NVMe" type?
sorry, not v sure abt the types of SSD out there for laptops.

does anyone have a copy of the technical manual for this laptop yet?

There is nothing for this laptop on Asus website yet. It appears very similar to the s510ua though.

Did you install the Samsung drive? Did the pc come with the screw to hold the drive in place (since the drive doesn't include it)? Thanks.

I tried but it just go hot and started to smell like it was going to smoke. i also tried a gen2 wd nvme but it did not work either. I am reading now about how you have to change the bios to trick it into seeing them on other vivobooks.

I read this complete thread to get answers for queries I had about the laptop, few still are not addressed.
First, I want to thank everyone for all your comments/reviews/tips in here.

Questions already addressed by people who have got their F510UA
  • Display is IPS for sure.
  • Display is same as S510 and made my LG (lgd0573)
  • Keyboard is NOT backlit.
  • Battery is 42,082 mWh.
  • Laptop has webcam (VGA camera, not HD).
  • There is extra RAM slot and laptop supports upto 32 GB of RAM.
  • Overall build is good and is made of plastic.
  • Has no discrete graphics.

Question still pending (or atleast I don't know yet Stick Out Tongue):
Now the biggest confusion with this laptop is about extra M.2 Slot.

As per @Seandm1969, the slot is NVMe as his SATA3 SSD did not fit in the port.
The he tried installing Samsung 960 EVO which fits the slot, but doesn't seems to be detected by laptop. Also his SSD overheated which made him shut down the laptop.
This is sad that he was not able to install his SATA or 2 different NVMe SSD successfully till now.

One of the user said that he was able to install SSD and run Windows 10 on it. Turns out, he replaced his HDD with a transcend 2.5" SSD.

Other people have not yet confirmed any update about the M.2 slot.

If anyone succeeds with SSD installation on M.2 slot on this laptop, please reply with what SSD did you try and how did you manage to do so.
Thanks.

PS: I hope this clears up most confusions.

The particular post in this thread where an user has confirmed that it supports NVMe SSD and added it successfully.
Nope. It says:

"Yes there is a webcam."

Any guide about opening the backpanel? Removed all thenscrews but the part close to the hinges refused to come out, was afraid of breaking something. If anyone gets an nvme drive to work with this, please let us know

Original question was if anyone had successfully installed an m2 nvme drive on this, correct answer appears to be "No", at least no one has mentioned it on this thread or Amazon reviews.

Since I don't have it, I cannot comment. I just pointed out one post stating one member confirmed on this thread that it supports NVMe SSD.
