I wouldn't call this breathtaking news.

Ask servers stupid questions, and they'll give you made up answers.

16. "We had a dish on the menu that was described as 'boned chicken," but had a bone in it. We were instructed to tell customers that's what 'boned' meant."

That one is awesome! Rofl2

I am glad I am a decent cook. $50.00-$70.00 for a meal you may or not enjoy in a super noisy, crowded environment ...I just don't see the point. Unless your trying to impress someone, or too lazy to prepare something good for yourself. If you have the money,go at it.
I had family that were servers, and in the restaurant business too.
This is a big reason prepared meal services have become very popular.
Something that really irked me was someone expecting a $10.00-$20.00 tip for 5-10 minutes of service to you.

Not another tipping thread Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

In many restaurants, the tips also go to the staff at the back of the house (line cooks, dishwashers, etc.).

If you can afford to eat out, you can afford to tip. Don't want to tip? Don't tip. There's no law saying you have to tip.

When I was just out of high school for a couple of years I worked a tryout half shift as a dishwasher at a local diner. They paid me a whole $8 for my four hour shift. I guess at the end of the shift the servers are supposed to share their tips with the other staff.

I didn't stick around to see if I'd have made anymore than the measly eight bones. But that's Pennsylvania for you where I guess stuff like that is left up to the owner(s) of the places in such situations.

Either way I try to tip at least modestly when I go out and usually won't accept a new dish of food if I find something wrong with mine. I've seen the movie Waiting and I don't wanna take a chance I got the kitchen staff surprise plate.vomit
