The free game code makes it an amazing deal if you've already planned to buy it.

I am curious to see how AC: O will run paired with this cpu. Given the history of Ubisoft PC ports, it should be interesting.

If you have a MicroCenter nearby, the $50 price break on CPU and motherboard combos can get you a Ryzen 3 1200 + B350 board starting around $120 after rebates + tax...

The 1300X and 1200 can be overclocked to around the same frequencies. Ryzen inherently hits a wall around 4 GHz

$115 for the chip and $85 for the board is a great deal. Another route is to find the R3 1200 that goes as low as $100 pair it with a $55 board like the AsRock Pro4.

Depends on what you use the computer for but it's a big upgrade. You will need new ram for the motherboard.

How does 1200 compare to my A10-6800K I've been using the last 5 years? I play PUBG mainly and work in Excel while watching YouTube/Netflix. I've noticed lately I get stutter watching video. I have an R9 270 video card.
