don't confuse image res. w/print res ! laugh out loud 300dpi is mostly used to print all the ... you get in the mail ! so - 600 is plenty Wink and you may want to check if (depending on material printed!) if lowering to 300 makes any difference ! Rock

The cheapest price for replacement toners I found on amazon was $55-70. Can anyone recommend cheaper ones?

only 600dpi. Good for general use but not high quality prints (flyers, etc).

If you are looking for a laser printer that prints higher ignore anything in the med to low triple digits. Certain brands have their marketing words but most of them are 600x600.

Don't get me wrong, 600dpi can still print flyers but it won't be super crisp like you would see from a professional (laser) printer. The obvious benefit here is price. But if you are okay spending a little more like $2k and above, there are 1200x1200dpi printers such as the HP M8550 (?) that can do the job.

You'll also want to look at the max paper weight as most low end laser printers crap out at anything over 100lb cover (card) stock.
