Some facts for those researching this model:
- It uses LED edge lighting, not Full Array LED Backlighting. For this reason, it does not do Local Dimming.
- It does not support Dolby Vision and will not be updated to do so via firmware.
You can evaluate for yourself how this factors into your decision.

childish statement

you cannot ignore price difference when comparing televisions. you are just saying you can spend more and get something better, but have provided no comparable 75" tv that is even within $1000 of this one

sounds like you overspent on your tv and are trying to bash this one to make yourself feel better for missing out
guys you can keep nitpicking all you want, but this is a 75" tv that is $700 below any other pricing elsewhere

if you want an oled or some other display technology and want to pay hundreds/thousands more than this is not for you

this is a $2000 set that may very well be a price mistake for $1300

yes you can get a high model for more money, or a 65" of a different display technology...but this is a sony 75" for $1300 and the reviews on independent review sites are pretty dang good

the one star reviews on amazon are a couple of people that got defective units and one person who gave one star stating it is a great tv but price too high on amazon...you can see actual performance reviews on places like youtube and av sites
According to rtings, the 75" version of the X850E uses an IPS panel. So while you get great viewing angles, contrast may suffer slightly.

This definitely has to be a pricing error. 75" for $1300....insane!

I'm still in shock, glad you saved money too, almost $600 cheaper than what I paid on Saturday.

The msrp is $2,000, so this is only 35% off. I'm in the market for a tv and I'm tax free on amazon and 10% cash back and this is a lukewarm deal.

Then the MSRP just dropped, maybe that's why, what cb site is 10%?

This just recently dropped to $2000 and was at $2500 for several months and much higher previously. I'd say it's pretty damn slick at $1300
