Yes, but after sitting through organized chaos 2 x per year for 9 years, you get over them real quick.
I am guessing you haven't had to sit through many of them.
When the kidlets are K through about 3rd grade it is very cute. After that it is just painful.

It is really fun in the beginning, those little nuggets of cutest up on stage singing their little hearts out!
Jr. High they barely mumble the words. I would not want to be a Jr. High music teacher. Evah!
