Special note: Comments on the Amazon page show concerns with lack of disclosure on the power supply unit. Some commenters replaced with 450w PSU or higher, and found the process easy.

Normally I would not post any PC with a standard HDD, but this is a 7200 RPM HDD, not the terrible 5400 RPM throwaway. The discounted price allows for SSD and RAM upgrades which likely best other offerings on SD as of this posting.

That is a darn good price. Probably no ability to upgrade anything with the PSU in it, but for that price? That's nice.

Agreed on the price wow factor. It's even better if you have the 5% credit card discount.

Pretty good starter/low budget gaming rig.

On the PSU, the Amazon commenters suggest removal and upgrade is easy and simple.

Best buy price is better. Free mixed reality headset will save you about $200 bucks more if you flip it

If you mean this deal, you're talking about a $70 difference before ATTEMPTING to flip the MR headset. Add in the prime cc discount, and it's $99 difference in favor of this deal.

Not to mention Intel vs. AMD chipset debate.

Until we see SDers post success in flipping the VR/MR headsets, I side with those posters who advise caution on being able to extract value from flipping.

That was also my conclusion on flipping. Plus there is something to be said for getting your financial benefit right now with just a click, as opposed to later after putting in some effort to get it.

Basic supply and demand says you will eventually flip the MR headset if you put it on ebay, I had 6 Samsung VR headsets from galaxy s8 deal and they wouldn't sell for 3 months but I was eventually able to unload them at a lower price. So, current eBay going rate for these headsets are around $250-$300, let's say it dips down to $100 in worst case scenario when you sold it(which I don't think will happen so soon) then the price of your best buy desktop is $629+tax(50)-100= $580 with taxes and whatever you get from your credit card is extra.
In the worst case scenario, it's equivalent to the Amazon deal.

You are welcome for the analysis, I spent a lot of time thinking this through.

I also personally like that CPU/GPU combination on the BB deal. Aside from being lazy about having to flip things, the other thing that killed it for me was just that in my area I could only get it delivered with the Dell VR, which would cost me another $50 (+tax). But those getting the VR for free could just keep the darn thing (or get out of another Christmas present with it), and still would be getting a pretty fair deal on a nice setup.

Appreciate the effort. Not certain how many of those headsets actually sell at the quoted prices though. List vs. sales price can swing wildly.

Wonder how much demand the Best Buy deals will suck out of the market? Something to keep tabs on.

I know which is why worst case scenario is $100 instead of current list price of around $250 on ebay but I get your point. You don't wanna take risk of not being able to flip it
