You are so smart. It's just like gasoline. It would only be $0.10 per gallon if it wasn't for all those people with cars artificially driving up the price.

Tempting, just bought the HP from Walmart 2 days ago. Slightly lower CPU but more RAM, 512 SSD, higher watt PSU and bigger case. That 90 day refurbished warranty kills it for me though

I see Assurriant, don't see squaretrade when checking out. I think you could do it through squaretrade website.

SSD worth $120ish all by itself by today's memory prices. 8gb more ram than the Walmart HP deal.

Obvs biggest concern is a refurbed product, but tons of values for the parts included here. If someone has a need a tight budget, this is a good fit.

Seems broadly similar to the Acer Predator deal for $599:

https://slickdeals.net/f/10911783-acer-aspire-predator-desktop-i5-6400-8gb-ddr4-1tb-hdd-128gb-ssd-gtx-1060-600-free-shipping

On the plus side you get the 6GB rather than 3GB 1060, a larger SSD, and another 8GB RAM. However, it is refurbished instead of new, no keyboard/mouse, [and apparently it doesn't have DisplayPort <= Edit: my mistake, it does.]

It has 3 displayports on the GPU. the specs are for the motherboard.

This is a pretty hot deal. 1060 6 GB is worth $250 alone.

Thanks for the correction--that didn't make sense,

The vid card is only worth $100 if the demand wasn't artificially high by mining hogs.
The card is worth what people will pay for it. Right know you can buy that pc and sell the card for 225 250 easily
