For others like myself, if you're wondering if it is time to get a hub....the Smartthings hub is also discounted @ Best Buy, Amazon, etc... for only $50.

SmartThings Hub @ BB [bestbuy.com]

SmartThings Hub @ Amazon [amazon.com]

I nearly purchased several sensors individually using the deals shared here. Then I walked into Sam's today and saw a stack full of ST Hub kits, for $99.81. Technically, you take the piece of cardboard, scan it at the register and pick up the box at customer service. I feel I got the Hub for $20, after deducting the prices for the individual sensors. A fellow SD already contributed posting the deal, HERE. Just want to make sure that others see it as another alternative. I'm still planning on getting a few more sensors, but already have a head start. I hope I help at least one of you, as so many contribute without jealousy to SD.

Got a few water sensors, they are reliable and you never have enough of those.

The motion sensor is a POS, I have a couple of these and they both failed after a while. Just use the Lowes iris, they are smaller, cheap (when on sale), much faster response time and I have a ton of them and none has failed on me yet.

The multi sensor is OK, But for open/close I prefer the sensitive strips. I only use the multi as a tilt sensor now.
same price at lowes.com, just got 3 for 60, used $10 off 50, and amex $10 back from $50 to get 3 for $40+tax.
Note that it is limit 2 per account on Amazon. At least for the water sensors.

Also, Best Buy has the following. Seems like a great deal on these sensors.

Leak Sensor [bestbuy.com] for $19.99

Motion Sensor [bestbuy.com] for $19.99

Multipurpose Sensor [bestbuy.com] for $19.99

Arrival Sensor [bestbuy.com] for $14.99

Smartthings Outlet [bestbuy.com] for $22.49

I don't think I've seen Samsung Water Leak Sensor for cheaper than this price before.

Agreed on the motion sensors. They drop off the network all the time.

Looks like Amazon is matching the $14.99 for the Arrival Sensors, great price; especially with all these $4.99 dash button credits from BF I have left to burn. Thanks!

I couldn't agree more on the motion sensors. Had one replaced. I have to actually stand in front of it so it can detect me. Multi sensors work fine.

Listen to this guy here. The motion sensors do indeed suck. Find an alternative brand that is compatible. The water and multi sensors are great though.

For most users, the presence reliability using a phone is extremely unreliable. It's a known issue with ST and they have no clue how to fix it.

Is the only way for the water sensor to work is to buy the hub as well? Is there something that works with Alexa?
