Hope you have good news SOON! I think it is too cool that your mom posted.... So can you have morphine AND an epidural? Do not feel obligated to respond. I thought the epidural was like a miracle. My DH kept looking at the contractions and me almost coming out of the bed because I NEVER LEARNED THE BREATHING THING until the nurse told me I better watch her and listen and do it or I was really going to suffer until they got the liter of IV fluids in and could do the epidural. I finally caught on. We probably should have started the child birth classes sooner so we could actually have finished them before DS decided to arrive early. After the epidural, it was like contraction, what contraction? So I am hoping you can have both.

Yep.. I took all day to get to 7, and then the nurse left and turned the lights out. Within 15 minutes I felt the urge to push and she told me no way was I ready.. I kept insisting that something was different and when they checked I was at a 10. bounce My doc was doing a csection and couldn't come. A midwife came in and asked if it were okay if she delivered the baby? Like I was gonna say no.. at that point when you gotta push, the freaking janitor could have deliveredBig Grin
