Ahhhh, I'm under 20 days now. Feeling the pressure. Still haven't packed my bag. I think almost everything else is covered though. DH refuses to put the carseat in the car early b/c we'll lose the last bit of space left.

I'm thinking I need to invest in a cork to keep her in until Oct 1st (at least)...I need my maternity leave to run through the end of the year!

I had my 38w3d appointment today. Baby's looking bigger this week than in the past so that makes everyone happy since she was looking so small they've been doing weekly ultrasounds to make sure she's okay. I haven't progressed much since last week so still around 3cm, 75% and station 0. The dr. said that I have a very favorable cervix (whatever that means laugh out loud ) and offered to induce next Thursday when I'm 39w3d. As much as I am anxious to see my little girl, we opted to hold our normal appointment and schedule an induction for the following week to give her a little more time to come on her own. The dr. still thinks I'll probably go into spontaneous labor on my own so I hope that does happen.

High Five Good news on her growth!

We went to the ped today. LJ has had really bad baby acne but the other night it was all over his face, scalp, back of head, nape of neck and a little bit on the top of his shoulders. The red spots looked more like a rash than acne.





He also has started to get cradle cap, but thankfully we are on top of that. He also has had red streaks in his poopy dipes intermittantly for over a week now and more than usual 2 days ago. For the cradle cap we got Mustela newborn foam shampoo and love it (thanks to info from Setsail in the Target chat thread!). It even helped with the baby acne on top of his forehead. I liked it so much I went to BRU and got the sensitive bathwash and lotion. I forgot that even though J&J makes baby products, there is way too much fragrance for a newborn's sensitive skin. So hopefully we'll get this kid's face in order soon. Poor lil fella.

On the blood in dipes, I cut out dairy yesterday as I read baby might have an intolerance to the dairy I am eating. That is exactly what the doc ordered. So in 2 weeks (that is how long it takes for the dairy to get out of my system) we'll see if that works.

Oh and for 1st time mommies or as a refresher to "old" mommies at 3-4 weeks not only does your baby get fussy and gassy, baby acne and cradle cap (if they get it at all) they also get a bit of a stuffy nose (ped said this is completely normal). Oh and the ped made me Teehee when she said they also develop a "bewitching hour" where at the same time every day they get fussy. Which is normally after 5pm. Hmmmm, methinks LJ got ahold of the baby manual and decided to try out all of these fun things to keep mommy on her toes.

My DD had a similar rash when she was little. 1/2% hydrocortizone cream and Eucerin Intensive Therapy worked wonders!!! Took a long time to find a pedi w/ a cure!

Doc said none of LJ's issues are causing him pain. Well except the gas but that is getting much better. His baby acne just doesn't make for great baby pics. laugh out loud

Had my 36 week check up today. I'm dialating! laugh out loud Not much,just 1/2 a cm but it's better than nothing. I'm hoping this means that I won't be going until 40 weeks but guess we'll just have to wait and see Smilie

Glad to read that your LO is getting bigger RW. Hopefully you'll be having some baby snuggling time soon Smilie

Thrifty LJ is still adorable Smilie My second child had baby acne almost from day one. She had baby acne and spiked hair. I used to laugh and say that she had a face only a mother could love. It was all in teasing ofcourse but if I did bring her out in public people kept asking why was she all splotchy.

Roll I bought my first pack of newborn diapers today from walmart. I used overage from the adams flea collar coupons and got them for like $4 a pack. Doing the RA deal tomorrow and getting another 3 packs of newborn diapers too. Atleast I'll have 4 packs of NB diapers then Smilie
