Bought a different size set. Lids cracked within 2 weeks. Guess the hard plastic lid is not a good idea.

I just got the 10 piece version of these (without the deal) and they do seem to be quite a bit of a quality premium over the regular rubbermaid containers. The cheaper containers tend to get white marks on them after a bit of use, which makes me start doubting if there's some weird "chemicals" leeching in Smilie The way these lids close and the way they have small slits under the lid so you can steam contents directly in the container is also well thought out.

Anything I can do to not get into the same situation? Were you microwaving something frozen?

i mean i guess it's a good price for this kit, however one really needs to take a step back and realize these are still overpriced compared to what you can get from Costco. plus, the Costco ones are better made IMO. there are some reviews of people complaining about the plastic cracking. i think it's too brittle perhaps and can't take repeated temp change exposure, who knows

the one cool thing i guess is that it has a center holder for a small container with a leakproof threaded cap for salad dressing

I bought these last month and they were $10 off, so I got them for 19.99. I haven't opened the boxed yet though.

Can't beat those instance discount. I actually got the salad set a few days ago, it's coming in tomorrow. I guess I'll see how that goes.

Been reading reviews online. Some ppl had stain and leak issues.
