I bought another of the Adorama open box deals before with these speakers (and they were pristine, box and everything) and I'm positive they are just selling new speakers with the open box label so they can get around MSRP limits set by polk, much like some of the other places do with TVs and such.

I swear, Adorama must explain why there are so many idiots on Craigslist that are selling something "brand new" and they just opened the box to "make sure it was there". Sounds like buyer's remorse to me and considering it's these lower quality newer Polks, that sounds spot on.

Sound is ok, but I have never been a fan of how these look. They look like something you'd find at Toy's R Us. I would not want these on display in my house. Too much of a cheap plastic look to them.

that's an upscale Toys R Us laugh out loud not saying it isn't plastic (don't know) but wood grain (black) looks and feels really good Wave !
