Ok, so there are exceptions. I still feel like if they advertise it as a free ticket then it should at least be enough for a standard ticket. Not saying it isn't a good deal, just call it what it is, a discounted ticket.
I would recommend the OP remove the word "free" as the promotion itself does not offer free in its marketing. And to get it "free" there are conditions to specific movie chains and member services that are not mentioned in the OP.

I wouldn't recommend this until the current promotion with iHeartRadio ends. It's only 4 movies a month versus unlimited when this current promo expires.
When they did this for Rogue One, I got enough for my pack of friends to see it, free. I ate a lot of GM cereal!
But you're right, mattcoz,, $8 is not high enough to call it a free ticket. Truth in advertising.

On the flip side, if you're in a concrete jungle where everything is expensive, then this shouldn't be your first rude awakening on the subject of "stuff here costs a lot".
