Citi Price Rewind: Walmart's screenshot is no longer sufficient?

I purchased one GoPro battery and one GoPro dual battery + charger few weeks ago. After found a store that has lower prices on both, I submitted my PP and quickly got approved on the GoPro battery. However, on the GoPro dual battery + charger, I got this https://imgur.com/Qpln6Kx

What do you think about this? Has anyone got similar issues before?

I usually use Citi for small PP claims and Discover for bigger purchases, but I guess I'll stop using Citi from now.

I was recently denied because they needed phone number and store number to show on screenshot. Which is impossible

If you're taking the screenshot from the computer and zoom out enough, you'll be able to see the phone and store number.

Good luck. Somehow the claims are not denied as fast as they were before, so you'd better watch out for that. I have a claim sitting there for about a month without any notification. I think worst scenarios is that I'll change the credit card to Discover and do PP from there

I zoomed out and don't see the phone number . see attachments.
Discover has the best price protection program but it does not work for consumables.

citi is asking for a lawsuit. Nothing in their terms and conditions state you need to submit an itemized receipt to get a claim approved. Unless they've recently updated their terms and conditions. I don't know if that would be a good one to take up with your attorney general or whoever regulates the bank. Maybe a threat of talking to their regulator would motivate them to approve your claim.

It's supposed to be something like the attachment.

I'll probably give them a call tonight and see what they may have to say. I think they just don't want to see another screenshot from Walmart anymore, but that's ridiculous.

How long does a Citi price rewind request usually take? I submitted one April 20th which was a Friday night and now it's April 28th and when I login to citipricerewind.com it just says processing request still. This was my first one so just curious what the normal length is. I'm guessing they only work these on business days in which case it's been 5 business days.

All of my Walmart claims have been denied recently. I called Citi who said they no longer accept Walmart as evidence because their website is "full of errors" and is rarely correct. They ask for a phone number so they can call the store to "verify" the price. I think the way they're phrasing the question when they call primes WM to say it's an error. Citi doesn't match errors.

One rep called while I was on the phone, and after back-n-forth with Walmart's CSR (I'm calling about a price match, we don't pricematch, etc.) the Citi rep said "I need to know if $X is the real price for [product] or some kind of mistake because it's really low." Instantly the WM associate said, "Well if it's that low it's a mistake!" Claim denied.

I talked to a supervisor and asked to try again, and to speak to Walmart CS desk and ask for a price check on the UPC. They did, and the price was the same as my screenshot. Then they asked "Is that price correct? The regular price is $$ more. Walmart CS said they'd check, but that it was probably an error. Claim denied.

The supervisor said Walmart was notoriously incorrect, and that we had to provide proof of purchase at the lower price to receive the match. I said if I was able to buy it at the lower price, why do I need price protection?

Ultimately, I think WM is dead for price matching.

Damn, I guess I got lucky. I used those wm screenshots a few times and the last time they said they couldn't verify the price. I asked them to call again they did and confirmed the item was at that price, but no longer in stock. That was like 2-3 weeks ago.

I was about to do it again with an item that shows limited stock and the price, but the store can't find that item. Not sure if I should try citi now, hate chase, don't have discover

Oh boy this really blows, now the momentum is going to shift toward discover and then discover who has been very good till now, going to pull something similar, and then we will be back to finding slick deals the old fashion way like running to the store, when it's posted on here

bumping this thread up, as I recently got a denial on something small, with the same notice about not using walmart app screenshots anymore, which doesn't make any sense. ive gotten denials before, no big deal and just kept resubmitting until approved. this latest one though, with the text needing an itemized receipt is ludicrous.

I remember I had this happen to me and I had to escalate this to CFPB and citi's executive team with much success.
