I have the second one listed which I bought from costco a few weeks ago. It was the last one they had and I'm pretty sure it was this same price. Still trying to decide if I like it or not.
Have used it on the patio and in the yard several times. The Bluetooth range seems really good and the speaker is VERY loud. I'm no audiophile but the sound quality both with Bluetooth and radio is lackluster and there's no way the battery lasts 100hrs (probably more like 60, of that).
Not bad for the money though as I'm not sure of a better alternative out there.
I bought a refurb'd Road Warrior 500 from Buydig back in Sept 2017 (was 169.95 then). Unit is loud (easily above 100db on my db meter), and works great. Still going just fine so far. The 10" speakers aren't equivalent to subwoofers, but they carry decent enough bass. I use it for outdoor events mostly.
On my third Ion "suitcase" speaker now. Bluetooth stopped working on the previous ones. Purchased from Costco so it was just a simple return. Owned an Ecoxgear outdoor speaker as well but wasn't too impressed with the sound and bass. These Ion speakers sound great when they work

Can't speak for this exact product, as I have an older version I bought at Costco about 5 years ago. That said, ours is a workhorse that we still use daily. It is plenty loud and clear for outdoor use, and the battery life is stellar! I've used it for weddings (both ceremony and dance floor), camping trips, parties, karaoke, and daily around the house. In particular, I use it as my practice amp for my bass guitar and have found the sound quality and volume to be plenty adequate for garage and campfire jam sessions. How many bluetooth speakers can you do that with? If you really want to feel the bass thump your chest on the dance floor you're gonna need something more purpose built (and perhaps not battery powered), but for anything short of that, my block rocker will do the trick, and I suspect these will too.
I've bought ion and excogear and I've returned all of them. The sound that comes from these is horrible. I'm a bit spoiled with other speakers in my home, sonos, swan, ue megaboom. These are just horrible quality, BUT if price is important I'm sure these will get you by.

Yep- our block rocker is a beast and still going strong. Would buy another.
Based on what a paid for an earlier, nearly equivalent model the Job Rocker seems like a solid deal; having a built in power inverter is definitely a nice touch considering the environments one might use something this big.
I really wish more companies would make serious boomboxes/basically portable minimalist PAs like this, and while in a lot of scenarios I've used it, sound quality hasn't been of major concern (thanks alcohol), I will say the sound quality on all three models I've used is pretty terrible. Also, make sure you know how to take care of a sealed lead acid battery so you don't end up irate over the fact that it won't hold a charge after 6 months; its not difficult, but worth mentioning for people who have gotten used to lithium batteries.
Range is great, loud, but not loud enough for our dance floor.
I use it in my garage now. Super useful. Battery lasts for a long time, but I am also listening to it at level 3 or 4 out of 30 (20?).
I never tried the ion, but if you're in the market, you can consider the ecoxgear as well. Also, it's supposed to float and be water proof.
Yeah, none of these prebuilt items can compete with thousands of Watts going to high efficiency PA speakers. These are better suited for smaller indoor rooms. I have run some QSC K12 speakers off of a battery bank (4S24P built for a 3kW RMS drain) for an event (family), through an inverter and that worked great. About $300 in Lipo cells and some supporting electronics can get you through a few hours no problem. Played with vehicle jump starter battery packs and those are more useful for 10 minutes of music, or 30-45 minutes for speech.
None of these will perform great - they're better than small bluetooth speakers, but not nearly enough for areas where you may actually want battery power.

Passive radiator is not a sub (specs don't tell the real story) and comparing a 10+10 watt mini box to the rocker is senseless.
