I know this was posted previously but that deal was for new customers (Im at 3 years) and ended on 3/31-- email says this promo ends on 5/31 and appears to be invitation only.
On 5/17 I got an email from Xfinity (at 12:01 pm) with title "Inside: a special deal for you".. Offer ends 5/31..Just alerting others that this may work for them new or old customer as I almost missed the email and even then almost didn't do the deal bc I thought it sounded like it could be a lease.... but it isn't..
The details of the deal are similar to the previously posted deal in that you need to have triple play (I do) or above to get the offer and that you get an Ipad 9.7" slate grey 128gb model MP2H2LL/A in a payment plan of $5 a month for 24 months that has a no prepayment penalty.. (I got the Ipad today and just called and they removed the 24 month plan and confirmed my next months bill will have the $120 charge with no other stipulations)
To follow through with the deal I just clicked the buy now button in the email and verified that my monthly total remained unchanged and 3 days later Fed ex dropped it off...Xfinity Ipad dept phone number is 866-299-7677.
Here is the old thread for reference...

**EDIT** I didn't think I ever got the e-mail but it looks like it will allow me to add it to my Xfinity package for the $5/month for 24 months. I have a 2 year contract with the new triple play I upgraded to anyways so I might just keep the $5/month on my bill and not pay it off right away...unless there's a downside to doing that???
Didn't need it as we have 7 iNew iPads in last year... But it's a Killer Deal if it does not get canceled and arrives...

Great deal for anyone that has a qualifying plan plans on staying with Xfinity anyways.

I am on double play ( TV+internet) . I have been considering to add security but i don't think that beats Smith & Thompson's price for basic alarm for 17 bucks.

They security is about $40 to $50 per month (unless they have some type of deal going on now), although I think you can get that price lower when you package it as one of the Triple/Quad Play items. Unless you wanted any of the added features that come with Xfinity Home that are not provided on your current security plan then its not worth it for this deal.
Also, I don't know anything about iPad model numbers so I didn't really pay attention when reading the OP's post, but this is for the 2017 model iPad 9.7. I had originally started looking on Apple's website to see the specs and then realized that Apple's website was only showing the 2018 model. The specs aren't completely inferior, at least for what I cared for (screen resolution). I think for $120 it is a hell of a deal even if it's the 2017 model, a lot cheaper than anywhere else online.

Is it a gimmicky thing or does it have actual practical use.?
