Xfinity triple play customers check your email for $120 Ipad 9.7" 128gb offer YMMV

I know this was posted previously but that deal was for new customers (Im at 3 years) and ended on 3/31-- email says this promo ends on 5/31 and appears to be invitation only.

On 5/17 I got an email from Xfinity (at 12:01 pm) with title "Inside: a special deal for you".. Offer ends 5/31..Just alerting others that this may work for them new or old customer as I almost missed the email and even then almost didn't do the deal bc I thought it sounded like it could be a lease.... but it isn't..

The details of the deal are similar to the previously posted deal in that you need to have triple play (I do) or above to get the offer and that you get an Ipad 9.7" slate grey 128gb model MP2H2LL/A in a payment plan of $5 a month for 24 months that has a no prepayment penalty.. (I got the Ipad today and just called and they removed the 24 month plan and confirmed my next months bill will have the $120 charge with no other stipulations)

To follow through with the deal I just clicked the buy now button in the email and verified that my monthly total remained unchanged and 3 days later Fed ex dropped it off...Xfinity Ipad dept phone number is 866-299-7677.

Here is the old thread for reference...

(*note this link shows the offer being a 2018 Ipad 128gb and ends 8/31 so it looks to be different than the emailed one)

Helpful Information

Beware of bait and switch Xfinity/Comcast pricing. The cheapest triple play package starts at $80 + $10 DVR + $10 tech fee = $100 + tax. After 12 months, it will increase to $120 + $10 DVR + $10 tech fee = $140 + tax. However, you need to stay 24 months to keep the iPad discounts. Therefore, you will pay $5 x 24 months + $40 x 12 months = $120 + $480 = $600 for an iPad Gen6 128GB WiFi. This is not iPad Pro or cellular version. You can buy it for $430 at Best Buy or Walmart today. Or wait for it to go on sale around $350 in November.

Check tracking by reference at https://www.fedex.com/apps/fedext...ion=altref as it appears Comcast is not sending shipment notifications.

Reference Number: The order number you received on the confirmation page. You will have needed to save this as it's not included in the email.
Zip code: The service address zip code:
Shipping date: You'll have to play around with this.

If you do not have your order number you may be able to call 1-866-299-7677 and ask for the WiFi iPad department to inquire about order status.

Too add to the comment below the Xfinity page mentions A10 Processor while the 2017 iPad has an A9.

It also mentions about the Apple Pencil which does not work on the 2017 iPad.

This very well may be a 128 GB 2018 iPad model otherwise they are falsely advertising it.

FAQ

Q1. what is best way to pay off? is there a special number to call?
A1. From the installment contract:
3. PREPAYMENT. You may pay the total amount due under this Installment Agreement at any time before the final scheduled payment is due, and you will not have to pay a penalty. To pay the total amount due under this Installment Agreement before the final scheduled payment is due, contact our customer account representatives by calling 1-800-XFINITY to request to pay off the remaining balance of this Device. If you elect to pay off the remaining balance of this Device, our customer account representative will include the entire remaining balance to your next bill, which will become your final scheduled payment. There is no penalty or additional fee associated with prepayment under this Installment Agreement.

Hmmm, thanks for the reminder since I never saw the previous post. I'll have to look into this since I recently upgraded to a new Triple Play package so I should be considered new customer in case the current customer thing doesn't work.

**EDIT** I didn't think I ever got the e-mail but it looks like it will allow me to add it to my Xfinity package for the $5/month for 24 months. I have a 2 year contract with the new triple play I upgraded to anyways so I might just keep the $5/month on my bill and not pay it off right away...unless there's a downside to doing that???

Just did it... Clicked button, logged in and it verified my package after about 3 minutes... Clicked buy and gave me an order number and email conformation came about 5 minutes later...

Didn't need it as we have 7 iNew iPads in last year... But it's a Killer Deal if it does not get canceled and arrives...

Just did it also. This will be a great upgrade to the current tablet we use to watch movies when we travel (8" ZTE Trek 2 HD). I'll still keep that one since it has cellular, which I rarely use but just in case I need it.

Great deal for anyone that has a qualifying plan plans on staying with Xfinity anyways.

If you are already locked in 2 yr plan, then Ipad for $120 is awesome.Or am I missing that you have to pay the remaining amount at the end of 2 years >

I am on double play ( TV+internet) . I have been considering to add security but i don't think that beats Smith & Thompson's price for basic alarm for 17 bucks.

From reading the terms and skimming through the previous thread about this deal it looks like it's just $120 as long as you meet their criteria about the package type you need. I'm just going to keep it at $5 per month added to my bill for now, will decide if I need to pay it all off for any reason later on since it's not that much to pay off anyways.

They security is about $40 to $50 per month (unless they have some type of deal going on now), although I think you can get that price lower when you package it as one of the Triple/Quad Play items. Unless you wanted any of the added features that come with Xfinity Home that are not provided on your current security plan then its not worth it for this deal.

Also, I don't know anything about iPad model numbers so I didn't really pay attention when reading the OP's post, but this is for the 2017 model iPad 9.7. I had originally started looking on Apple's website to see the specs and then realized that Apple's website was only showing the 2018 model. The specs aren't completely inferior, at least for what I cared for (screen resolution). I think for $120 it is a hell of a deal even if it's the 2017 model, a lot cheaper than anywhere else online.

thanks, great price! Looks like we can prepay without any penalty, so that's my plan as soon as it arrives.

Are there ever any deals on the Apple pencil?

Is it a gimmicky thing or does it have actual practical use.?

I went through the link on the email they sent on Sunday and they sent the 2017 5th gen model but now when I click the same email link today it shows a similar page as the one I linked above (Xfinity.com/iPad) which shows you will be getting a 2018 model...(a10, pencil compatibility) so who knows— maybe they sent me the end of the last promotions stock and when that's depleted they will send the 6th gens— but maybe the 2018 is explicitly for new customers promo and there are 2 separate promos as noted in the OP with different end dates between email promo and the linked one... I haven't opened mine yet so I'll prob call and see if they can swap out for a 2018 model..but I'm happy with what I've got if not..
