Way uninformed.
$400 video card, $300 CPU, $100 motherboard, $75 case, $150 RAM = $1025 not counting the SSD, hard drive, power supply, etc.

And that's assuming the motherboard / case / ram are bottom of the barrel. Having a single stop for warranty support is nice as well.
Instead of having to contact each vendor for an issue with a component, you can just contact dell for any / all issues

Yeah, these are easy to upgrade too just like the XPS desktop. I prefer the XPS as it is more quite. But this thing is solid.

1400 on costco right now. I would say this beats the 1100 Acer deal from costco that was FP as that came with i7-7700 (20% slower benchmark i believe), though it did have 16GB more RAM

What do you mean by single stop for warranty support?

He means you can collect warranty with one phone call or email. As opposed to having to call 5 manufacturers, one for each part in your system.

He means you call Dell if it breaks rather than trying to figure out which component is the problem and dealing with that manufacturer if you got your components from different companies and different retailers.

If you built your own computer you would have to go to each individual manufacter of the parts that you bought from (e.g. MSI for graphics card, Samsung for ram, Asrock for motherboard etc etc) where as with dell if something goes wrong you can just RMA it to them.
