Update: I just wasted an hour driving down to the Marina Del Rey Costco where they have these in stock. WARNING: Costco & Dyson have lost my faith as this is a SCAM! Historically, Dyson Total Clean models have included several heads, such as the motorhead AND the soft fluffy head. If you google V10 Total Clean, you see it includes both (only available in Europe). But this one at Costco DOESN'T!!! It only comes with the cheaper Motorhead - the one that's $499 on the Dyson website. The Costco model comes with a bigger canister only! Not a bargain at all. You're better off using a Bed, Bath & Beyond 20% off coupon and buying the $499 model for $399 instead of paying $479 at Costco (unless you really need a bigger canister). This is a new low for Dyson marketing department.
Just wasted an hour of my Saturday for this. The Dyson rep was at Costco as well, pumping this up. I gave him an earful and told him this is a scam by calling it "Total Clean". The previous Costco V8 Total Clean which was a great deal also included 2 heads. After arguing with him for a while, he agreed that Dyson shouldn't have called this Costco exclusive a "Total Clean" model.
A google search shows the Total Clean is only available in Europe. It gives you both the Absolute and Motorhead brushes. This is a great deal since the Absolute sells for $700.
I haven't seen any V10 models at Costco. The trick is finding which Costco stores have these. Is the only way to find out by calling each store? Any inventory checkers? I'm in the Los Angeles area.
I saw it in Costco in Norcal as well. Don't know about paying $450+ for a wand vacuum (the reviews indicate 8 min on full power which is the same strength as a regular vacuum).
So after further inspection, it does not seem to have the torque drive or soft roller head. Only the motorized ldirect drive head and other attachments like the mini motorized head, crevice tool, and soft dusting brush.
I saw this at Costco yesterday. So how does the total clean compare to the other models? (Motorhead, animal, absolute) I love the soft roller head but I guess I can live without it.

It's a scam. It's the exact same as the Motorhead for $499 (except it has a bigger canister). Use a Bed Bath & Beyond 20% coupon in store to get it for $399. See my post above.

But you get 3 free tools if you order from Dyson direct. This one has a slightly larger canister than the regular Motorhead model. I was disapointed as I wasted an hour going to Costco and seeing it's really a glorified Motorhead model, not the typical "Total Clean" model. Really poor naming scheme by Dyson.

Don't waste your time.
Thanks for the info and sorry for the wasted drive.
I will say the old model was more clear because it was called "V8 Absolute Total Clean" (Absolute means with the soft roller/ Fluffy).
Perhaps they will come out with a V10 Absolute Total Clean but yes this definitely seems ambiguous/confusing. They should've called it "V10 Motorhead Total Clean" but as you say it also has the non-Motorhead bin—some weird mixing and matching going on here.
I actually like the smaller bin (I plan to supplement my corded Dyson) and wanted the Fluffy soft roller for hardwood floors. So I got the attachment separately off eBay for ~$85.

$479+$85= $564
The Absolute is $699. Apply 20% BB&Y coupon and it comes to $559.

I don't see the Dyson V10 available on Costco.com.

Still not sure how this is a good deal.
