Bought this kit last year, it is deeeheecent for a home. This year I had to buy m18 fuel hammer drill though. I used hackzall after Irma to cut the debris and circular saw during renovation. I used the tools hard and they are still in a good shape.

Still, a good price for this combo! Almost purchased this set because I like the compact impact but I recently paid 400 for the similar ridgid combo that has the gen 5 brushless pieces with hammer drill and sawzall and two 4ah batteries. If you need a good set of lithium power tools and don't require brushless then this is a great sale price point you will see for it or similar sets.

20v is mostly marketing as they are actually 18v battery packs. So, no, not a huge step down.

There is no such thing as 20v in power tools, but there is 20v Max*. That little asterisk refers you to some fine print which says that they are actually 18v tools under load just like everybody else. When fully charged and not under load, these Milwaukee batteries will read 20v too, they just choose to not use misleading marketing wank to try to fool unsuspecting customers like some companies do.
*Maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) is 4, 20, 60 and 120 volts. Nominal voltage is 3.6, 18, 54 and 108. https://www.dewalt.com/products/p...atform/20v

Is the charger a standard speed one or rapid? And can anyone comment on the real world difference from standard vs rapid m18 chargers?

Will they ever offer a brushless combo like this? Obviously it would cost more but I have these current drill and impact set. it's nice but I'd like the brushless and the circular saw.
