MSI is not an off brand. It's one of the top tier brands.

Why is this not getting more thumbs up? Everyone hooked on the Dell crap for their deal alerts?

It's b/c it's a 2gb card and MSI is a little "off brand." Most folks are looking for a 4gb card. If you don't need to play AAA type games this is a great rig for the price.

Indeed, bought two to replace aging Lenovo G580? for the wife and I.

It's really hard to find good laptops under $700 now for some reason..

Yes. If this laptop comes with m.2 ssd, you can add 2.5mm hdd without removing ssd.

many manufacturers started releasing 8th gen Intel cpu varient products. This product was released last year. It's not shiniest toy on the market. Also the choice in gaming laptop segment explorded with introduction of Nvidia 10th generatiom series. ( 1050, 1050 TI, 1060 Max Q, 1060, 1070......)

Serious gamers are going for 1060 and above. Imo. 1050 will perform better than Intel igu, but MSI prob had some leftover inventory and liquidating it before 11th gen GPU based laptops are popping out.

Not a bad pc for this price.
