I've decided to take veritableqndry's suggestion and start VACUUM...Vec Approved Comedy United Union of Members (BrgnHntr is credited with the name)

VACUUM's intention is not to take down SPAST, but instead to work side by side with them with an expanded role that will include particularly funny threads that happen to be original.

Right now any member of VACUUM could award the SOA. Abuse of the approval will result in a public caning, ridicule and suspension of VACUUM SOA privileges.

If the thread falls within both the jurisdictions of SPAST and VACUUM then it will be granted the SPAST SOA since it is obviously a spoof thread. It isn't really rocket science here. Whee

u and mvl need to go away for a weekend (bed and breakfast or so) and get some rules going.

most spoofs havent been funny....

like, the one with selling camera for $75, how is it funny?Stick Out Tongue

As I'm not an executive in VACUUM, I can't speak for that organization. But SPAST membership requirements are minimal. After all, the goal of SPAST is simply to PROMOTE spoofs - no need to actually create any.

Try your hand at straight up comedy instead of focusing on the art of spoofing.

So why is the spast thead not a chat thread like this one? Are they better than vacuum? They must have paid off the mods for protection or something.
