Hi. This is a heads-up for people who are in the market for a mesh WiFi network. The deal isn't live for another 11 days, but I figured I shouldn't wait any longer because there may be people who could use this information; without it, they may spend more money elsewhere before the promotion is live.

I hope this helps,

Orbi has significantly faster theoretical maximum wireless speeds

orbi has dedicated backhaul channel (meaning the data transferring between the units won't interfere with / slow down your connection to the unit)

Orbi can also do a wired backhaul (although they keep #!@#$ing borking it with poorly tested firmware updates)

Orbi's firmware gives you far more control over the settings than Google's sparse options offer
waiting for an orbi (RBK50) deal.

Pretty good price. I picked up a 3 pack on prime day for $250. Covers the entire house pretty well (3 floors). A 4th would make it great and worth the $25.

Google.com has 3-pack for $289 PLUS free Google home mini after the following promotion - "Save $10 on a Google Wifi 3-pack, plus get a Google Home Mini on us. (Just add both to your cart.)".

What's a better deal? In the market for one and need it before September as a gift

Hmmm gotta do a price match. Got it a few weeks ago from them for $299. Love the things. Split it between my parents and I; each have two units.

Would you mind sharing why you'd prefer a Netgear Orbi over Google WiFi? I am in the market for a mesh WiFi network system, but haven't fully made up my mind about which to get. I think the biggest con of the Google WiFi system is that there are fewer controls than other systems, but that may not matter to a lot of people who use their WiFi as a set-it-and-forget-it device.

I say this one is, Google Home Donuts are a dime a dozen. You can't walk down the street and pick up a Google Wifi for $30

I haven't tried Google WiFi but I do have 2 pack Orbi Rbk50 from Walmart return and rebuy deal for close to $100 around 6 months back and in my 2 story 3500sqft home, I never had to restart anything except may be once or twice max. It's 5 bars everywhere and I think I would pay double of what I did long back had I knew how good it would turn out. It replaced 2 asus routers connected in mesh and they were no where close to what I have now. Again no comparison but a one sided view of how good Orbi has been for me.

I just bought the 3 pack on Amazon and installed in my home. Do you think they'd do a price match or anything? I could use one more in my house.
