You could use a light switch.... My entire house is filled with Philips bulbs if it acts up I just use the light switch to override the wifi aspect. They are still 100% normal lightblubs when not connected

Lol please don't comment if you have no idea what you're talking about. if the WiFi goes down you can't use the bulb via phone. the bulb still works if you turn on your switch. lol

I have either an Echo Plus or Dot in every room. Over all I like them, but can be a pain sometimes when you have to tell it three times to turn a light on or off. You will go into a room and tell it to turn light on and it comes on. Five minutes later you go to leave the room and tell it to turn the light off and you get "What device do you want? "

The comment you replied to was about depending on the hub included as part of the Echo Plus instead of the hub Philips Hue puts out; however, your comment shows you do not understand how Philips Hue smart lighting works. I recommend reading up about them more or using them firsthand before making inaccurate statements.

With the Echo Plus you can't do some things you can do with the Philips Hue hub, but if you just want to turn the Hue bulbs on and off and adjust the brightness the Echo Plus will do that.
