At my local Walmart I saw a Pit Box 5-Series vertical smoker on clearance for $200. I opted not to get it, but you may be interested in it.

Main negative I found in reviews is that uses a lot of pellets.

Would love to hear any opinions on how this compares to a Masterbuilt MES or Thermotemp propane smoker. Saw this at Walmart this weekend (full price). I've got a 30" Masterbuilt Thermotemp from Lowe's still in the box. Been researching smokers trying to decide if I should open it or bring it back for an electric or something like this. I know this is a lot larger - more interested in how well it smokes.

Good buy if you can find it at the sale price. FYI Pit Boss just introduced a 5 year warranty for products bought after 9/3/18, before that is was only 1 year. I'd say this is better than propane and electric smokers. Pellet smokers tend to do a great job at keeping temp, but get a smoke tube to get more smoke flavor.
