Most people don't consider a dedicated audio player as a worthwhile investment with the prevalence of smart phones, but for those that do, here are some features that matter to me. This has twin SABRE DACs (similar to the LG V20 and V30), and a built in amplifier to drive more demanding headphones. (Reviews indicate this should adequately handle something like a Massdrop 6xx.) It uses two different clocks to allow jitter free playback for both 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz base multiplier encodings. It's also got 2x micro SD card slots, and dual outputs (3.5mm unbalanced and 2.5mm balanced). Finally, it supports Wifi for a handful of streaming services - something not commonly found in a DAP at this price point.
