Best theory I can come up with is that it's a glitch in Amazon's system that still hasn't been fixed.

I'm thinking the glitch is some code that makes sure the cost of a season is not more than the cost of all the episodes combined, and then a problem with the system not knowing if a particular season is a miniseries or a one-off episode or a full season.

I've come to this conclusion because the cheap price is the price of 1 episode (with the exception of some shows in the last few months priced at $4 instead of $3) and some of the shows doubled in price to the cost of 2 episodes after the 2nd episode was released. Most of the shows simply increased to their normal price of $25-35 indicating that the low price was most likely not intended.

I assume Amazon will eventually fix this, but I'm loading up on any show I think I might like (or already know I do) and now I have no need for hulu
So what's the theory why Amazon keep selling these whole seaons for $2.99?

This is perfect! I was a big fan of Nathan Fillion in Castle as a kid. My family would watch it live every Monday night at 10pm. We also then watched Firefly on DVD. Was excited when I saw a trailer for this show but wasn't sure how I would watch it since we don't really have live TV anymore.

And thanks OP. Totally worth $3 to not have to watch commercials (for something we were going to watch anyway). If we re-watch it later it'll just be a bonus.

Never heard of it, Thanks... I'll buy so I don't have to watch it now, I'll figure out if I like it next summer. I'll also know if it's a One and done by then.

Thanks OP. Can't go wrong with Nathan Fillion.
