Cheap Ebay Netflix Subscription Listings, are they legit?

5,331 1,928 October 29, 2018 at 02:16 AM
I think answer is no but I want to hear some opinions.

If you do a search on "Netflix 1 Month Subscription" on Ebay you'll see listings offering one month subscription for less than $5, some as low as $2. Sellers will say something about giving you the "login" info and it's good for that month. I've seen deals offering for one year for less than $30. These all sound "shady" to be the least. Are these sellers stealing people accounts and selling their login info? Has anyone ever used one of these services?

If there's a legitimate service (like carpooling with a group of people to use Spotify for like $3/month) please share. I'm interested in using Netflix again but only need one screen (share with someone), i.e. spend only $3-$4 a month for that one screen.

Its against netflix's TOS.

"Netflix Service
4.1. .....
4.2. The Netflix service and any content viewed through our service are for your personal and non-commercial use only and may not be shared with individuals beyond your household. During your Netflix membership, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the Netflix service and view Netflix content through the service. Except for the foregoing, no right, title or interest shall be transferred to you. You agree not to use the service for public performances."

I looked at one ad on ebay. There is nothing stopping someone in your "pool" from using "your" profile and janking with your saved shows or watching random crap that will then mess up your suggestions. You're better off finding friends\family that you can do the same thing with.

Its annoying as shit when my kid watches some cartoon series on my profile. I can only imagine the stupid shit that would appear if randos are playing unused profile grab.

While true, it's not what the CEO said.

"We love people sharing Netflix," said company CEO Reed Hastings at the Consumer Electronics Show 2016, in Las Vegas. "That's a positive thing, not a negative thing."

Whats the worst that could happen if they are stolen ? Ebay permanently banning your IP address so you can never use their service?

Not necessarily, they could have gotten it free and are trying to make a buck giving out their login info.

T-mobile has a free netflix subscription with it.

That, or using stolen card info. Lots of sites sell stolen account infos too.

Not to mention that I think Sony was giving out three months free to some PS+ subscribers or something. I never got the code myself and for some reason I stopped getting ANY emails (again) from them on a sub account I have on my one PS4.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) So I don't even get the 20% off codes they do occasionally anymore.

I got one of the Netflix offers on one of my PSN accounts. But I did not get one for the other account that I pay for.

OK, thanks. I figure this has to be shady; don't want to get in trouble or unknowningly use stolen accounts or otherwise. Anyone knows of any "carpool" sites that I can pay, like $5 a month, for just one stream? I believe the regular Netflix allows 3 or 4 streams.

I don't care about Netflix "so-call" policy; they do that to get more subscribers; I have family members whose friends share accounts all the time. My nephew and his friends do this in college, sharing Neflix, Hulu, Spotify, etc, you name it. It's not like you're stealing, someone pays for the streams and it's being used, that's all. My T-Mobile family plan is filled with 8 people outside my household.

Best thing is to find a family member or work colleague to do that with.
