MSI cooling is pretty good. I would recommend undervolting any gaming laptop.
But I still can't get over the G5 deal Dell had an hour ago and I missed out on 😪

Actually, in all the benchmarks I have seen, the 1060 3gb is closer to performance to the 1060 6 gb than the 1050 Ti.

Walmart has the G5 for $850
The same 6 core chip in the desktop line is rated at 95 watts.

Something's wrong with the description here. The walmart page says this is an 8300 (quadcore) but some of the comments mention a six-core. If it truly is a six-core then it's a better value than I realized, although that still gives me hesitation especially if it throttles easily.
Walmart: "MSI GV62 8RE-061 Performance Gaming Laptop 15.6", Intel 8th Gen i5-8300, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3G, 256GB NVMe SSD, 8GB RAM, Windows 10 - Black - GV62061"
You might be right, which would help justify the price. I'm much more familiar with the desktop card benchmarks where there's almost no difference between a 1050Ti and 3GB 1060, much to the consternation of people thinking they're getting a good deal on a full 1060 GPU. Really bad misleading move from Nvidia, but that's a whole other discussion.
