The ASUS Tuf is going to be a much better build quality ("military grade") than an HP Pavilion. If specs are being equal, I'd probably prefer the TUF for $60 more.

The perfect 15% off price/item lol. Doubt we'll get another this month if they didn't do it on CM though.

Is it me or have computer prices gone up in the last couple of months? I could swear I saw machines with specs like this a hundred dollars cheaper pretty regularly until a month or two ago. It seems like even old speced machines are increasing in price.

With the technology we have, I'm surprised there isn't a large market for modular, diy laptops, gaming or otherwise.

Actually I just went to their site and the TUF brand is just marketing BS. It has to do with a fan system that is supposed to help keep down on dust. It isn't ruggedized and definitely not military spec.

Agreed, prices are about the same as what they were last year when I was looking for a 1050 Ti or 1060 laptop.

How's this compare to the Asus Nitro that best buy was selling during BF?
