There are retailers that will match Amazon. I'd be careful with buying Klipsch from Amazon as I've heard they aren't covered by warranty.

That's correct on 820 being the new lower end but specialty store here claims the 8000 is much improved over 280 no where local carries both so cant compare

The 8000 is not much improved from the rp-820. They are trying to get you to pay more.
