I bought one. the price/specs are competitive with recent 17" offerings from HP and Sager. Had to pay tax. Best CB I could find was your standard 2%

I pulled the trigger on this. Can't find anything as powerful with a decent screen. I've worked on HP Z series workstations for years and their build quality on their workstations is awesome.

very tempting but I think i'll hold out..

I would like to see two SSD's and a preferably not a refurb for warranty purposes. HP notebooks in the past were the ones i always seen with hardware issues so i'm a little Leary.

FYI, for those of you have not done the research, the screen on this is +90% srgb. Almost 100% for photo editing. Unlike other IPS that only 60% srgb coverage. Plus this is a 1080p instead of 4k. I am surprise so little thumb up. It looks like the laptop has easy accessible to all compartment. Very good price for the screen and 1070.

It would be damn near impossible for a gaming laptop with 1070, 16GB RAM, 8750 proc with 2 SSD for this price. I have searched high and low before Black Friday and these is nothing of this value. Yes it is only a refurbished one but at this price is a steal imho. I just went ahead and bought one myself

Is the 120hz gsync or not? I missed the 17" acer predator at Walmart by ten minutes for 899$ that was the 7th gen i7 / 16gb/ 1070 / 75hz gsync ips so tempted by this but really knowing the rtx 2000 series laptops are launchin q1 2019 I may just hold off thinking I can find a 2060 mobile that should be I think 5% of the performance of 1070, but for those who need something under the tree this does appear to be the best recent 1070 offering. Really strange how the desktop GPUs have tanked in price last few months but mobile price drops have yet to take effect.

U will be disappointed with this one masssive finger print and overheat issue. Way to throw your money out the window
