If you have Amex activate your 60 off 300 at dell and buy from them with cheap add on to bring 299.99 to 3+, should be able to get away with 250+\- if you have Amex and willing to wait for statement credit rather than a lesser gc.
We don't pay any sales tax, don't know if dell charges for such based on your location.

I would start a chat with amazon customer service and tell them you want help starting the return process because of the added gift card now.

They won't price match but I have had luck a couple times this way. They always say it's a one time thing. Hope it works out.
