On this code scanner (98568), it says it reads freeze frame live data.
Is there a list of what live data parameters this thing can display?
I.E. is it fairly comprehensive or can it only show a few parameters?
The manual does not specify which parameters it can display.

The values reported depend on the car's ECU.

Part of the OBD2 protocol is a list of reported parameters. There are only a few required ones, with most being optional. More precisely: For each set of 32 commands/parameters, the #0 command returns a 32 bit value. This bitmap indicates of which of the following 31 commands are valid, with the final bit indicating if there is a following set of 32 commands.

The ECU isn't required to save all of the current parameters when it encounters an error, but most do. Similarly, a OBD2 reader doesn't need to report all of the available standard parameters, but almost all do. So in general, if you can see it in the current data, you'll probably be able to see it in the freeze frame.

Thanks for the tips, was looking for something to fark around with to trim 2x4's in my workshop.

I was mad because at work today they clearanced a porter cable circular saw to $15 and one of the department managers snatched it right up.

EDIT: Just found a Makita Circular saw in my garage. OKAY....

I find myself using my Dewalt compound miter more than the circular saw. YMMV but, depending on what you want to cut and how, a miter saw might be better than a circular saw.

Any coupons for caster wheels?

I have some spare wood, carpet, and bolts and nuts, I wanna use to make a dolly purely for fun, but the cheapest place I can find for caster wheels is HF for $1.99 a pop, and I'd rather not pay, $8.00 for 4, when $7.99 could buy me a dolly.

I got some 2x4"s and cut it into the same dimensions as the small HF dolly, (18x12"), and I found a coupon for the same casters they use on them ($5 a pop) down to $1.79 each, which at the cost of 4 is still the price of the dolly with a coupon.

Than I got some nice thick gray carpet from my job for free, which I'll either staple to, or wood glue to the top to prevent damaging items on top of it.

I have no idea how to fasten the wood together in the most structural supporting and economical way? Flush fitting carriage bolts?

Yes, just copy the HF dolly design. Pine won't be as good as some other hardwood, though. If you can, scrap a pallet that has good hardwood construction and make a decent dolly.

Thanks for the info. Still a little confused, though.

I did buy this unit and spent a few minutes trying to find live data (gave it to someone who now has it on a road trip).
All I could see was that it saves a freeze frame data only IF it throws a code.

Otherwise, I do not see any live data capability.
Am I missing it?

I don't follow this thread very closely, so I'm no expert. I would say there is a fair amount of discussion of products and prices. But personally, I really find it a helpful discussion, even when it goes a bit off track. I am unaware of another HF discussion thread.
And of course, coupon info is in the wiki.

OK, now a coupon related question.
I bought something with the 20% and usually the cashier notices if there is a coupon in one of the huge flyers and will use that if it is better. This time, not so lucky. I got home and then noticed a way better coupon in the flyer.

Will they do a price adjustment?

Yeah, just present the coupon with your receipt and they'll give you the difference back.

I honestly cannot figure out why you don't just buy the damn dolly for 8 bucks?
