my personal experience (having gone through three of these) is that if you regularly play games, the left click won't last very long (start to register as double click, or if you're clicking and holding, it loses the hold, etc.).
i do have heard of those who have used this mouse for years without issues. but for myself and two other friends, whom all love this mouse otherwise, have experienced the same issues (usually within a year of ownership).
