This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I'm not up to coming back on SD quite yet, but thought I would come post and let you all know what's been going on the last couple of months.

We lost my ex husband (my kids dad) on Dec. 7th and then my daughter got married (legally) to my son in law on Dec. 27th. He went into pallative care on Jan. 1st and then got transferred to a local hospice and passed away on Jan. 29th at the age of 32.

His funeral was this past Friday.

This is the worst death I have ever had to experince. It feels like I lost a child. He has been in our life since he was 17, since he was enstranged from his own mom - I became his mom.

My daughter and I along with their daughter are not coping well at the moment. She is only 8yrs old.

For all of you who called and emailed me throughout the last couple of months. Thank you.

I miss talking with all of you, but not sure when I will be back on on a regular basis. I think this one is going to take abit of time.
I will get back into doing coupons and stuff soon. Hope you'll all help me ease back into it.

Love to all
I am so sorry. I cannot even imagine. hug my thoughts are with you and your family

I found a peelie on Hollywood Domino's. It was at Walmart, but I will check at Target next time I am there.

It is for a 1 year subscription of your choice of Vanity Fair, Glamour, or GQ.
All you need to do is go to their website and enter the code from the peelie and pick which magazine you want.

The box was on an endcap in the Toys/Games section, large square black box and the peelie says:

"Special Bonus Offer! 1 year Subscription is Included with This Hollywood Domino Purchase"

It has the 3 mags on the front of the peelie and the background of it is gold.

Offer valid through 3/31/09.

Laina Comfort please know we are thinking about you and praying for you!

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Scenes from his life flashed across the sky
and he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life had flashed before him,
he recalled that at the lowest and saddest times of his life
there was only one set of footprints.

Dismayed, he asked, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
I don't understand why, when I needed you most,
you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious child.
I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering
when you saw only one set of footprints...

That was when I carried you."

Why do I even bother with reading the deals thread? Confused3 Annoyed

Now that LMT is over I need a new deal to obsess about!

Having a pretty craptastical day here. Raining = DH doesn't work = DH doesn't get paid. He already had a rain day on Friday and there is rain called for the rest of the week.

Our kitteh, Selena, who is 9 yo has been sick lately. Won't eat, labored breathing, losing weight, reclusive. Waiting for DH to get a hold of the vet and give me an update.

I am taking this day minute by minute. Hormones are definitely in high gear today. I am holding out until lunch time. Hopefully I will feel better physically and mentally by then.

/pity party

Thanks for just letting me get that off my chest! I seriously feel better for having put that all into words!
