This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Ok, so I need some ideas on how to keep my coupons neat and well organized. I can usually keep it under control for a day or two but then it gets out of hand, especially during gc deals at T and super doubles at the big K. My husband wants to murder me whenever he sees a bunch of coupons on our couch Smilie I kind of liked the idea about the binder and baseball card pages, but before I try that, any other good systems?.
I wish I could help. Mine are currently spread out all over my dresser...they are atleast in piles for target and k-mart though. Now if my son ever gets better than I will be able to use them!
What I have to keep them in though is a paper folder with brads, I have those clear page inserts for reports I guess, which have different catagories.
They are stilll a mess though!

Well I hope he gets better soon! I got some good deals at the K this week.

I was thinking of buying three binders, like cd cases that zip all around so stuff doesn't fall out. One for Valassis, RedPlum and P&G. Then once cut, just seperate them by date. But somehow I can never seem to keep up. Maybe it's because I'm chasing after le bebe all day long! laugh out loud

I'm currently in the market for a new system as well. I have 2 expandable plastic filers right now - one for T and one for K (that's how I divide my Qs). I never take them with me to the stores... before a trip, I pull all my Qs and make a list of what I'm getting. Occasionally I have those "I wish I had that Q with me" moments, but I just don't want to carry a big binder with me in the stores. I'm running out of room in my current expandable filers and would rather have a single one anyway.

I thought about a binder, but I don't know if I'll be able to fit some of my Qs in those baseball card slots - especially for Qs that I have 40/60/80 copies of. My 2 current ideas are a binder with many see through zippered pouches, or this below:

That is a nice system. That would encourage me to clip all of my inserts and file them rather than file whole inserts and clip coupons as needed.

I just transfered my HP live cashback $$ so I think I deserve a treat!

Ok so the organizer you showed would easily store all of my coupons.

I like this because it is a bit smaller

But now I am wondering if it would be too small...Scratchchin

Ok, I do the exact same thing also, except that I take them with me and leave them in the car. That way if I find good clearance or something that I need a Q for I can run out and get my filer.

Interesting... I didn't realize that they had a smaller version. I like that one, but I'm with you on the "go big or go home" part. I think the little one would be a bit too small. Oh, and BTW, they actually have an even bigger one, just in case you really want to go big laugh out loud

EEK!

I love how they say "coupons not included" in the description Teehee

Anyway, here's the product description:
At last, a grocery coupon organizer that really works! Saves Time - 130 food and non-food categories preprinted and alphabetized...more than any other organizer. Holds More - big enough to hold thousands of coupons. Replaces Purse (Confused - what are they thinking here -like you're going to carry this around) - special compartment for checkbook, keys, etc., so it's all you have to take to the store. Lightweight and Portable - 22X9X3-1/2 Coupons not included.

Oh, and even if I get one of these, I'm sure I won't clip all my Qs... I file remaining inserts in file boxes...

I have three small(ish) accordian file things, one for K, one for T and one for CVS. I prep them with all the coupons that I might need for that particular store before I go and bring them with me into the store... I have ADD so I frequently forget things. Seriously, some times I 'leave" home 4 or 5 times before I actually drive away. God help me if I left my coupon holders at home! LMAO My husband makes fun of me for it all the time.

As for the box, I'd have to go with the big one myself! Big Grin

Hmm, has anyone tried the big cd cases that zipper all the way around? I wonder if you could put couponsin the plastic cd holder areas or if they'd fall out too easily?

I have one like this but it is bigger....actually I have two since I keep every coupon I ever get....plus my vitamins/cleaners/medicines are in ziplocs. I carry these into the store on the bottom of the cart and then have a notebook (3 ring binder) with ones I use most often. I dont care if they see my coupons or that I use coupons in their store. If they dont like my coupons (aka money makers for the store) then I will spend them elsewhere. Wink
