This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

That is what I have been doing and it seems to be working pretty well. Plus to me it really starts to hurt if I have to much milk. I wake him up he should eat and mommy wants to feel better. (The stupid $60 pump DH bought at Target with the last GC $ quit working after one use and he lost the receipt, but he said the receipt said it could only be returned if it was unopened. Mad )
You can't return the pumps after they are open, but call the manufacturer!!! I had issues twice with my Ameda pumps, and both times they overnighted me a new pump after troubleshooting with me on the phone. I was super impressed with their customer service in this respect. I've also hear that Medela will do the same.

Wave Thank you all!! You make me feel better. Smilie

I get confused; I've talked to several different lactation consultants and it seems like I get different advice from them, plus from the books I've been reading. What you're saying makes sense, but then most of them say you should feed "on demand" and if my guy isn't "demanding" then should I feed him anyway? He's so feisty with me that it's really not fun to force the issue.
It is tough, but that's why talking to other mommies is so helpful. We can all relate, and it helps you to feel like you aren't the only one going through these things.

Quote from 4BusyBees :
I was in the mall and quietly tucked in the corner when an older lady came to me (obviously saw me kinda struggling) and said "oh honey, I can't tell you how nice it is to see a mother breastfeeding." It made me feel so good, then I explained I was getting used to the whole thing.

Her response was "Well remember, you are learning to be a Mommy and your baby is learning to be a baby. You both have to figure it out together, and that only comes with time sweetie. You will both get it soon, just hang in there."

Best advice I had heard...learn together hug

ETA~ my Madelyn Grace is 11 months old and never slept through the night. I'm jealous of some of your cooperative babies on here.
That is one of the nicest stories!!! Made me tear up remembering how hard it was when I was first starting to BF with my first. What wonderful words of encouragement!

Oh and if anyone is feeling jealous of those with babies who sleep, come on over to my porch and we can sit and chat. I've had 2 very "not so good" sleepers (cough, cough, understatement of the year). We're just starting to get snippits of better sleep at night (naps are still tough with the "baby") and my youngest is almost 15 months. I don't think I've had any consistent stretch of good sleep for maybe 3.5 years now. But I'm starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel now - it's gradually getting brighter. Hang in there, and anyone who has bad sleepers will always get my sympathy! Comfort

And I always hate when people tell you all the stories of how good their kids are sleeping. My 4th child is 13 mo now and still doesn't sleep all night every night. My others were much better. When she was about 9 months old and I was having a tough week, someone had the nerve to start telling me how great there son was sleeping. He was the same age and apparantly went to bed by 8 pm every night and slept til 9 am.. aggh, I wanted to smack her.. I mean, I am happy for ya, but somethings are better not shared at certain times ya know..

Exactly! Sounds like the same kind of friend who eats brownies in front of you when you're on a diet. Bonk Makes you want to say, "can't you just share my rice cakes with me and tell me how much you think they suck too?" laugh out loud

I think with the Pantene you need to be sure to get 3 items with the same barcode as the 16 Q. No idea about the 37000. At least it beeped on the gillette.

Comfort Mine didn't sleep through the night until 10 yo. She would sleep walk to my room in the middle of the night. It was rough, but I understood that as a single mommy the little one was seeking out a sense of security. Come to think of it, she started sleeping through the night in her own bed when we moved to Cali to be with her dad. Scratchchin

My 3 year old would rather sleep all day and be up all night lol. I work late some nights and she'll go to sleep at 8 or so and take a "nap" until I get home from work and then she thinks it's time to play....uhm no mommy is tired and wants to sleep!

Limited on freezer space so....
give me some of the meat reviews.
I know someone posted one of the Suttons was not the best.

Today I was able to get a small roast for $3. But, there were many cuts that didn't look so good. What have you all thought of the quality. (Hate to waste them if we won't eat them...free or not...kwim?)

The one Chuck Roast that we had was fatty. It made the meat kind of slimy. It was very moist, that is for sure, but I prefer my roasts to be dry. I am glad that I stocked up on the Top Rounds.

I do have one chuck steak in the fridge right now. Any reviews?

The chuck steaks need marinated or something.
