This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Had a terrific T run last night. Yahoo! Saved $140 and spent $15. Made only $5 though. We really needed some Sierra Mist. Hubby had almost drank it all out of the stockpile. Anyone think the new packaging is creepy? Reminds me of Blair Witch for some reason.
OMG! I thought the exact same thing last night and meant to come post that here! The packaging is scary looking and not at all attractive! I am one of those "ooh shiny new packaging, must buy it" people, so Sierra Mist really blew it with me! laugh out loud

I think the new packaging for the entire line of Pepsi is very unappealing!

He is totally a SDer in training. Tonight after dinner I had some Qs spread out on my desk and DS says to DH "look dad, mom has a lot of too-pons". Love that kid!

Nope, not me. Is that some sort of chapter in the Kama Sutra book????
Teehee No, no chapter from the "Kama Sutra"!! Bonk It's a Japanese tv show... Scratchchin Darn...I wish I remembered who that was...

You can also get the vitamin B shot from your OB. It was much more potent than any vitamin I could take. I felt great! I was coming in twice a week for my shot nod

Oh Thrifty, I noticed how environmentally aware you were so I wondered if you were cloth diapering? I have a friend who does and they are so darn cute. I personally dont cloth diaper. I love the environment and want my kiddos to have a nice green future, but cloth diapering just isnt for me. AND I am dieing to know how the newspapers work for cleaning the windows and such. Dont they tear? We do basic recycling..aluminum, plastic bottles, and newspapers Teehee We try to reuse as much as possible. For anyone who loves those reusable shopping sacks, my local Wags had local college teams (3 for $5). Go Gamecocks!
My mom cloth diapered all three of us. She tells me all of the time I should do it for DD. Dontknow And, she uses the newspapers for the cleaning of the windows. She also uses a vinegar water mix as the window cleaner. She says she learned it from her mom who had learned it from her mother. They were really poor and so used what they had around the house to make do. nod

Very true, Thrifty. All of the new packaging doesn't speak to me either. I think they were going for a "green, fresh" look with SM. Guess they didn't run that new packaging by any consumer groups. Ahhh, budget cuts. laugh out loud

Awww.....Baby I still say certain words now that way my kids did when they were little. Like poll nailish. laugh out loud

Anyone with no kids at home (or am I the only one here? laugh out loud) still make an Easter basket for their spouse? I am debating.....

On another note, who can tell me the best place to get a 32GB iPod Touch? Any thoughts out there??

Just wait until he becomes a Badger in training. OMG there are times that I have to firmly tell DD, no thank you dear. Roll

We were reminiscing about Pond's peelies this weekend when we were working with the RTWM ones. She laugh out louded and said people were looking at me mom.
I swear she freaking badgered an entire endcap...and not the back side endcap the one facing the main aisle. Bigeye

My sister and nephew moved near us over the summer and I would take DS and go with them to T or K or WM just to show them the area and stuff. Well one day my sister tells my nephew that I'm coming to pick them up so we can go shopping and he says "are we going to actually buy anything today or are we just going to steal stickers?" Damn kid is 5. Of course this was during the time of the HW/PS/Ponds so you can bet we were going to do some sticker stealing.

On a side note, cleaning with newspapers is cool. I hate that my kids' schools don't recycle. Do you know how much paper they go through there? My 3 older boys go to 3 different schools. I'd love to bring it up, but scared of the backlash..like "Well go ahead and do it". I dont have that kind of time.

I would say how hard is it to have your teachers setup a paper recycle box in their class room and in the office and teacher workrooms. We did at the school I worked with and cutodial/maintenance staff took them to the back where we had big recycle bins. They probably already have a recycle account/program established with whoever their waste people are. They are just apathetic or lazy, not sure which is worse. One of the first things I did in my office was set up recycle boxes for everyone. Once sided non private/confidential pages go to the school and they use the other side for scrap. Anything else is shredded and I take home to my recycle bin.

It. is. not. hard. people!

I was bummed I couldn't find any super cheap S&D at T. I ask the meat guy if S&D made hamburger and he looked at me kinda weird and then said all T's meat is S&D. He said every brand of meat they get in comes out of boxes from S&D. He said the only reason there are different brand names is to give the customers a choice. He got his hand scanner and was showing me how even the cheapest hamburger not labeled S&D & most expensive Laura's, when scanned brought up the S&D brand name. So I ended up getting two of the ground chuck $2.99 and two packs of the steaks or beef rounds $3.49 and used 4 TQ's with no beeps.

Quoting myself cuz I tried it again and this time I got beeps. Frown
I got a different kind of hamburger I got a lower fat one. Dontknow
Maybe the roast needs rung up first... Dontknow Sorry for the confusion....

Ok, I have decided that I cannot do clothes as I do not want the baby's fecal matter in my washing machine. Mmmkthx! I think the clencher was the newborn breastmilk seedy mustardy dipes that did it for me. Yeah I want to wash that crap out...not so much!
That's what my DH said when I said I was going to do cloth diapers w/o a diaper service. Rofl2

I like cloth dish towels too. My hubby has their weird paper towel thing going on. Whenever I wake up, he has little scrunched up paper towels all over the counter tops. Annoyed It's our ritual now. He scrunches, I get rid of 'em. The only time I am inclined to reach for a paper towel over a dish towel is for something like when Chudley hacks up a hairball. Yuk

Hubby had almost drank it all out of the stockpile. Anyone think the new packaging is creepy? Reminds me of Blair Witch for some reason.
Yes, yes, and yes.

Paper towels are reserved for cat poop and puke. laugh out loud And now baby poop and puke. (I have now been peed, pooped and puked on by this kid, I think it's a milestone. Rofl2)

Yes, the Sierra Mist looks creepy to me too.

OMG, laugh out loud You just totally ruined one of my favorite childhood memories!! I heart that book as a little one. shake head

Doesn't T have a GC deal for the Ipod this week? Other than that, (or other deals like it) there aren't many "discounts" for the iPod unless you are (or know someone who is) a student or who otherwise can get the educational discount.
