This is a FYI for people who are interested in a CHEAP ($20 per month)Unlimited Plan through AT&T. The
UConnect plan via the ZTE Mobley is back for a limited time. Currently, AT&T is sold out of the device (and its not certain if they will getting them back in stock). but you can still get the plan if you can come up with the ZTE Mobley device. You can still find a handful of the devices on eBay currently. The cool thing about the device is that people have figured out how to create adapters so the device can run off a wall outlet.
Per the wonderful website, RVmobileinternet.com you need to call a special ATT number to get the deal as it a special promotion. Below are the two numbers they listed on the website:
Primary Phone Number: 855-894-9945
Secondary Phone Number: 866-662-4548
HERE ARE LINKS TO THE RVMOBILEINTERNET SITE WHERE THEY DISCUSS WHAT THE MOBLEY IS AND HOW TO GET THIS DEAL:

You can read about the device on several active forums too. Howard Forums is probably one of the best!

My ZTE Mobley died years ago, and I've been running on a ZTE Velocity. The service has been working okay, except the Velocity kinda stinks. It randomly stops moving data and you have to restart WiFi (switch off/on), or sometimes restart the entire unit. So I'm ready to move on to a Velocity 2, to keep it in the (hopefully safe) ZTE family. Trouble is, I believe I need a nano SIM to fit the Velocity 2.
I have a brand new nano SIM procured from AT&T early last year. What is the safest way to swap service to the new SIM, without causing service plan issues for Connected Car? Should I go to a store? Chat with internet support?
I'm nervous enough about rocking the boat by switching the hardware (thus the IMEI), but the Velocity is making the Internet very shaky, and I need consistent service (or at least service that can stay up for hours at time).
I have two plans. One is running in a Nighthawk and one is running in a Velocity 2. One was used for home wifi, using about 300-500 GB per month. The Velocity was just used for travel, about 3-5 GB per month. I've had no issues with either other than the speed has gotten kinda lousy. I used to get 20mbps pretty regularly but not its more like 5-8 mbps.
I recently got Tmobile Home Internet, which is $50 per month with autopay. I get weak signal, 2-3 bars max. But it still gives me about 120-150 mbps speed pretty consistently.
So I'm gonna probably drop my two Connected Car plans, which makes me a little sad. Wish there was an easy way to transfer or sell those plans to someone who has more use for them.
seems to be supporting the plan with lots of options, still only $20 a month, I'm looking to see if there's anything better than the velocity 2 I'm currently using.
edit: nevermind it seems to press you to the harman spark.
Nope they can't transfer.
On a related topic - I see folks on ebay are (re)selling these kinds of unlimited hotspot plans for $110-120/month... I'm assuming these are the mobley and/or grandfathered unlimited ipad plans they are using behind the scenes?

According to my Orbi, my speeds are still "moderate" but it feels like we have been having more issues with connectivity and drops. I have two - one in a Netgear 815 hot spot and one in a Netgear Blackhawk hooked up to a ASUS router and rebroadcast thru the orbi.
