If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull
Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

Yeah, it converts just fine when you perform the product change. Ultimate Rewards points are still UR points, you just don't have access to the 1.25x travel redemption.
You can always redeem the points for cash at 1cent per point. That can be done with the Sapphire or the Freedom so there's no rush.
Is the 1.25x travel redemption only for their portal or can I transfer for 1.25 miles in my Airline FF program(United)?
Does Chase Freedom even allow transfer of miles to external FF programs like United?

Freedom does not have transfer partners. So if your intent is to transfer to United, do it with the Sapphire. The 1.25x is simply for booking tickets through their portal.
I got this in spring of 2019 and with about 70,000 points used it for hotels for about 10 nights in South America. The deals from the Chase site were about 15% better using points than anything else I could find through booking.com and other sites. I'm pretty happy with the card so far, though not sure it's worth it for $100 / year after the initial year. We'll see.

It's got the extended warranty, travel protections, and no forex fee. Whether or not it's worth keeping also depends on if you've drained the points or still need to use em.

I just compared benefits and the only one that is really better than what you get with most cards like my Amazon Prime Chase is the travel reimbursement for cancelled hotels and flights. I don't travel that much these days. The other things like extended warranty, car rental insurance, etc. are all included with other free cards.
If you were a heavy traveller off your company's dime, this card would come in handy.
I believe these two chase cards offer primary insurance rather than secondary like most visa cards. But it doesn't make any difference if you don't travel much or rent a car.

My 1st year is about up and I have transferred over the points to an existing Freedom card. Any risk now if I close the card? Will they claw back the points?

Newbie question: But how do you transfer points out?
My year is about out and I still have points. I would like to move (if possible) before closing account.

Log into your point account. On the menu listing there should be a "Combine-point" menu. That's assuming that all your chase card are either personal or business.

First noticed it when I logged into my chase account online. Then few days later got letter in mail for offers on my current cards.

I think for Portal. But that's better since you get credit towards elite status on your airline that way...
