If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull
Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

Can you charge 4K and pay it off as soon as it posts? Does that count?
Yes, but that's not advised because it has the potential of raising some red flags at Chase. It's best to simply use it like a typical credit card in order to stay under the radar.
In any event ,don't make multiple payments in one billing period. One payment when the charge posts might be OK, but I'd be careful to avoid a Chase shutdown.

Thank you for the feedback. That's a good thought. I will wait for the statement to come out.
Is it possible to buy a gift card to satisfy the 4K?
I have before for other bonuses. Bought 500$visa cards. The points back came close to canceling out the service fee for the visa cards. I would of course use that as a last resort and do it if you end up needing to spend more to satisfy the 4k
All of chase products are not worth anything after their bonuses. They only hope you stay and keep on taxing you somehow. I find it worthless. It's not even cash back freedom card. and 95 annual fee . Make sure you cancel before the year end or get ready for a hustle.
Are there any product changes that I can avoid another annual fee? Or do I have to cancel? I was charged annual fee June 2019, I assume I can product change now? Or do I have to wait?
What's the best card for me? I spend around $250k a year on business expenses. None of that is under the bonus points category of this card. Would I be better off just getting 2% straight from Chase Double Cash? I don't travel much, and after getting the initial points bonus, this card seems useless.

IMHO, the best strategy is to always churn. Any card is only useful until it earns the signup bonus then it's time to move on to the next card. No card will come close to matching sign up bonus ROI by doing bonus spending categories.
There are 4 Chase cards with excellent sign up bonuses. If you have a spouse that gives you 8 opportunities. If you want to try EIN's, then that's another 6 opportunities for a couple.
And once you've done all that, you might be at the time window where you can do it all over again. (4 yrs for Sapp and 2 yrs for Inks)
Then there's always Cap One and others to fill signup offer gaps.
And if you're caught between churns, the Citi Double rewards card is a good one for normal spending.
With expenditures of $250k/year, churning can be very profitable. (and the bonuses are tax free)

If you don't spend money, sure. I bank thousands in benefits each year for just the $150 net cost on the CSR ($450 annual fee - $300 travel credit), and I'm not even that efficient at using points. I tend to redeem on the Chase portal at 150% value. In the past I've gotten a handful of Hyatt rooms well under value as well.
When they first offered the Chase Sapphire Reserve, wasn't the "Sign up/spend $4k" points offered like 125,000 or 150,00?
I have close to 300k points now and remember a huge points offered when they debuted the card.
It was 100k and has never been re-offered after that one lengthy launch period.
Short-sighted to say the least. Fee cards carry a fee for a reason, you get SOOOOO much back from them. If you have the spending requirements to make them efficient, it makes plenty of sense.
Why is this card such a big deal? Of course they give you 60,000 bonus points AFTER you spend $4k within the 1st 3 months but personally, 2X on travel and dining and 1X on all purchases is really less compared to my Costco Citi card that gives 3X on travel and dining, 4X on Gas on top of 2X for Costco and 1X elsewhere. Dont you think this $750 eventually adds up to the $95/year and the additional 1X you are losing by not using a Citi Costco Card instead that is free as long as you have a Costco Membership?
It's mainly the sign-up bonus and the fact that UR points are very versatile and worth "more" than Citi points. Accumulating points with the multipliers is only half the battle. Finding efficient ways to redeem them is the other half. UR points are redeemable at so many different places at potentially high rates of return. Even the plain jane Chase portal gives a 25% bump in value (the CSR is even higher).
