If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull
Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

It is a specific invitation code given on the mailer, appears to be targeted
If you or someone else is not planning on using or has already used but still has the code, would you mind sharing? Want to see if I can apply it to my application. Called Chase and they said I would need a code and they could apply it.
so what is next when you get this card and get the bonus miles after spending 4k in 3 mos...i meant after you spend your reward pts for a trip somewhere, then what? do you cancel the card or keep it each year and pay the $95 annual fee? Is there a benefit to keeping this card long term? Do they give reward points to long term card holders? Or do you guys cancel the card and wait another year before reapplying again? Reason i ask is that im thinking about applying for this card since i have to pay a $5k medical bill. Might as well get a reward for paying that big bill.

1. Apply for the card
2. Get the bonus and all perks
3. Downgrade to a non annual fee card after one year
4. Rinse and repeat
5. ...
6. Profit?
0/24 and have never had a Sapphire card. Interested in CSP and CIP cards. Should I wait several months in between applications? Does it matter which one I apply for first?
Finally, I got one. They kept sending me the preapproval documents. I wasn't too keen on it. Now I have a long trip in June I applied for it. I always used Discover Card. But it has no value outside the US.

Depends on the credit score. If it is excellent chances are you get instant approval. For me it took few seconds to get the approval.

Recommendation is to wait 2-4 months between Chase application. I was denied once when my applications are only 60 days apart.
If you're comfortable with biz cards then get the CIP first. But if you have upcoming travel then CSP is probably better
When does the annual fee get posted to your account? Upon approval or at the end of the first year?
immediately upon approval. Spent just over 4K in the first month, and the points automatically posted to the account as a reward points, equivalent to $600. Pretty hassle free. We mainly acquired the CSP due to the primary rental car coverage, and the $500 extra was a nice added bonus.

Depends on the person. I took advantage of a 70k points offer and it allowed me to stay in a Hyatt Resort in Cancun for 3 nights (75k points total, whatever I spent in the first 3 months gave me extra to add onto the welcome offer...) That would've been roughly $1300 out of pocket in itself, but I paid it with points after transferring to Hyatt rewards and it was 25k points per night.
After that, along with chase Freedom I'm already racking up a good bit of points and I'm probably on par to spend 2-3 nights again for "free" next year if I wanted to at these Hyatt resorts (which are fantastic for what it's worth) so the $95 annual is worth it.
The car insurance is also good, I used to buy the car insurance from places (peace of mind, I know it's a money generation method for them) but I don't anymore so that's a few bucks saved every time.
Long story short if you travel a few times a year, it's worth it. If not, I can think of a lot of other cards that offer 3-5 points on gas, groceries etc that'll be more worth the money.
Just a word of caution the trip interruption or travel delay on this card does not cover for cancellation on account of any pandemic or apidemic reasons. So if you have booked a non refundable flight or reservations then you dont have any other option than working it out with hotel or carrier services. The Chase sapphire preferred team will not be able to help in you such case unless the delay was due to some sickness or injury.
