If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

I wasn't suggesting that you try for that card, I was asking if you had it in the past. That could have been the reason you were denied for Sapphire Preferred.

No i did not..but i had the same chase sapphire earlier as i said

Can your spouse also apply and get this bonus?
I had it 6yrs ago - spouse never had one.

Just FYI

You get auto-declined if you haven't waited 48 months. Chase reps told me last Sept (2019) their system has a 48 month cooldown on the family of Sapphire cards, not the bonus specifically. I was auto-declined as I was 42 months into the cooldown.
Are u saying if you are approved, you are good for the bonus!
I was approved but unsure when I received the bonus of 40k last time.

Downgrade path for CSP? Should I go with chase sapphire? Would like to use the sign up bonus for new freedom flex and freedom unlimited.

That's correct. If you were approved, that means it was beyond the 48 months since you last got a Sapphire bonus.

Hello folks, I've got a really strange situation and would need your advice:

In mid-August, I submitted my application to Sapphire Preferred and I got a message saying "Thanks for applying! We need to review your application a little longer." Since then I haven't got any response from Chase whatsoever.

So, I decided to call the Chase personal card reconsideration line 888-270-2127, but the CSR agent told me that she cannot find my application anywhere, using my SSN or name!! She suggested that I re-submit my application and then call them again.

Does this sound right? I am certainly not willing to have another hit on my credit record for an uncertain application outcome. Besides, the pending decision message I received from Chase website after I submitted my application clearly said "please don't resubmit your application." Does anyone else have similar experience?

Please advise. Thank you!

What does Chase automated app check say when you call 800-432-3117 press # then 3 then 1?

Do you see a new hard pull on your Experian report?

I saw on another card offer that buying gift cards doesn't count towards the spend requirement.

Is that the case with this one? I don't know what I would spend $4K on right away besides gift cards towards future purposes.

Does the $95 AF count towards the $4000?

Nope. Only spending counts (ie where Chase gets their cut of a sale made by someone else)

(AFAIK that's the case with all banks CC signup offers, fees never count toward spending limits)

Last I checked CSR was only 50k not 60...though depending on how much value you get from the various other credits and perks might still be a better choice... (and if you plan to use the points for the portal or the pay yourself back feature, the signup bonus is effectively the same since you get 25% more value from the pay yourself back feature with CSR than CSP)
