Good deal, but ask yourself how often you'll use the 10" skillet, *and* the 10" griddle, *and* the 8" skillet. Personally I use my 10" skillet for just about everything, and so I have no need for the 8", and the skillet can do the work of the griddle when necessary. The dutch oven is essential, though.

Heck, if you realize you don't need so many different pieces, it's still cheaper to buy this deal and donate whatever you don't use to Goodwill than it would be to just get the dutch oven and the 10" skillet.

This looks like a good deal if you want the pans too. I paid this much alone for the dutch oven and love it.

$1.25 discount if you pick slower shipping as well.

I also don't see the need for a 10 skillet + 10 griddled. 8" would find its uses though. I guess you can have multiple pans on if you have a lot of food to cook.

I have all of these or a variation- the dutch oven is just not enamel.

Kumicho is correct- the 8" skillet isn't worth much. The 10" is nice, but I find myself using my 12" much more often for cooking. I use my 10" primarily for corn bread.

The little skillet is nice as it's great for bacon/eggs/pancakes (not all at once) as you're not fighting the sides of a pan to try to get in under some food.

A great set to get is the Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron 2-In-1 Multi Cooker- it's 2 skillets 10.25" skillets- 1 high side height and 1 medium side height, but when put together it's a 3 quart dutch oven. That's been my go-to pieces for a while.

You use the griddle when you don't want the sides getting in the way. Things like fried eggs, grilled cheese, etc.

Exactly my thought.

Do you or does anyone know about deal on only 10" skillet?

Thanks

They're $15 at Walmart all day long.

Occasionally if you watch they'll come down to $10 or $12, but for something that can *literally* last a lifetime I don't see the point in waiting around that long for a sale.

I figure this probably won't work on an induction plate, right?

I'm looking for something like this that could work on my induction plate, any suggestions?

Both lodge cast iron, and lodge enameled products work on induction systems, as per their website and advertising stickers.
